About Me

Who I am

When I was a child I loved the cartoon "He-Man." I was lucky enough to have a lot of the action figures and playsets and my dream at 6 years old was to build the entire planet of Eternia in my bedroom. It was a big dream, and one I tried to realize many times. When I got a little older I started coming up with my own characters and stories, making up elaborate "movies" with my friends. By 10 I knew for sure I wanted to be a writer. I wanted to build worlds.

At my various jobs I used that creative thinking to make things better. I had a part-time job at Petland Discounts where I found an old vacuum and convinced the manager that we should use it. At WJM Associates I put a new version of the logo on the company's old marketing materials. When I showed it to the head of marketing he encouraged me to take a stab at rewriting them. At Allergy Be Gone I lobbied successfully that the company's e-commerce sites could benefit from a blog and some social media accounts. I set up, designed, and wrote the company's new blog and used every social media site I could think of to market it.

I have big ideas. I always want to push the envelope when it comes to my projects. Why can't we build a whole world in a child's bedroom? Why can't we use every tool available to market a brand (whether it be a business, product, or person)? When you shoot for the stars it doesn't matter if you only get above the clouds, as long as you're higher up than everyone else.
